The red wonder

While running around thru the tress, thru the garden of Pillnitz near Dresden, one has to keep his eyes open, as always. And suddenly this little red thing came across my way. So small yet so powerful and with such striking red leaves. It made a fantastic green/red contrast. SO what could i do ?? Yes, take a picture of it..

What do we need for a good picture ? A willing model, a sweet girl who holds the model :), a cool painting on the wall and some seconds to take the picture. And just ignore all other people around you…

It did not take long, and a knock, knock was at the door. When i opened it SHE was in front of me, eyes wide open. She asked me where i had this picture from. Well, i smiled. The first time i knew a bit more ! I took a second breath, made a creative pause before telling her about the Gallery. Now she smiled when she took a golden necklace off her neck with a beautiful ancient medallion. She opened it carefully and showed me this:

What a wonderful old oil painting, my rough print on copy paper was a shame compared with that…. She told me, that it is indeed one of her relatives, mothers bloodline. As she told me, that woman really enjoyed life and sometime she was said to be a hellion as well. Like my neighbor, was my thought and i smiled back at her. We had some tea, some sweets and some laughters. When she went home, she threw me sweet, promising smile ….

a bit gold paper, some walnuts, hot glue a bit time, a feather, some other stuff and ready are your own, your authentic self made unique accessories. But be careful: Hot glue is dangerous, it is HOT and it is sooo easy to burn yourself. I know what i am talking about …
Look what i have done…
This one is made completly in white, white painted nutshells, enriched with a long white feather. Ideal to be mounted in the hair of a model, giving her a special look

Several nutshells, wrapped with goldpaper, glued together to form a flower shape. On top a golden Rose. To be used as head gem or brooch

This time no special, superduper picture. Just a documentation of DIY action :) But be inspired, use your tools, use your imagination, build your own creations to give your models, your scene an individual touch !

Bear it

Monday morning. Sad day for most of us. And if it is rainy, this day becomes a really ugly day. So it is for him as well. Having Mrs. Robinson in his mind, had her right in front of him at the copy machine, in his dreams, her taste and her odor playing with his wits. Knowing she is out of reach. Boy she is playing games with you. Dont you see ?? So he walked down the street heading for the bus stop when he passed her house, head down, but a little view from the corner of his eye´s should be allowed….

Knock down. It hits him like a lightning strike. She was right behind her window, the wet window, raindrops running down the glass and she, just behind the glass looking at him. With a sweet smile in her smile. Oh no…! His desire exploded again and he stood still for several second, watching her in her full beauty when she suddenly vanished. Just a dream, a wish to come true ?? He was 100% dazzled when he reached the bus station, nearly lost control. Sitting in the bus having her image in his mind.

What he did not know: She laughed out loud when she she saw this poor guy standing in the rain looking at her. And she thought again: “You have to stand this my dear and even more to come ! No man is allowed to enter my home without permission, snapping pictures without punishment!”

Olympus E-P3, Summilux 25 mm, f2.0, ISO200, 1/100 second, one hot shoe flash, bounced left behind me over my shoulder into the white wall. As second layer: a wetlook glass from the bathroom from the shower cabin, no flash used here. Both pictures layered together with 60% opacity. Brought her back to visibility with a layer mask thru a soft brush with 45% opacity, Simple work. And again simple techniques: A bit compostion of two pictures, a little story to grab attention and the use of the well established emotional layer ! Trust and respect for the model and a lot of fun while working together.
