That is pure luck, that is the center of life: A new born child. 1 day old and already the 100% center of everything and everyone. I had the chance to take some quick snaps, and here is a Tip: Do not use a flash for new born childs. Work with high ISO, open aperture and watch your focus. Set the focus to the nearest eye or to thing of interest, which will be focussed by the observer first ! Watch your own behavior ! And watch the mother, her face. Although exhausted, she smiles, looks happy. The physical pain already forgotten …

And i simply asked her to stand up, which is not easy in such a weddingdress. But somehow she managed it and suddenly a crowd of guest behind me trying to snap that scene too. Well, i had to work very fast only three shots with a single light “setup” in a “Fire-and-forget” mode. Just a second later and the crowd nearly crashed me down to the floor…. :)

So i took this picture and suddenly they gave Babies to her and she smiled further on. I did not understand why they gave the Babies to her ???

even when she gave back the Babies she continued smiling.

All done with Olympus E-5, Zuiko 12-60, ISO400, f4, 1/160 second and one single hot shoe flash bounced again over my left shoulder…

Pastime

Sitting in the waiting hall, waiting for the plan to arrive. Boarding not even started. Exhausted parents to my left, crying babies to my right. Yes thats better as all reality shows on Television.
Pulling out my “alway with me cam” and doing some snaps is a solution to flee such situations. Suddenly they looked at ME. “What is this guy doing ?”, another reading is: “Is it a Bin Laden assistant ?” and from behind “You are not allowed to take photos of me and my baby!”. Oh i hate such persons !
The only thing i wanted to photograph was a little lamp on the Lufthansa desk:

Nothing more, not the Baby, not the hysteric mother nor architecture of the waiting hall for terroristic acts….
