Go down, on your knees, even flat on the ground and discover the wonders of mother nature. Small ponds become oceans, little piles of sand become hills and placed in the ponds they will be mysterious islands. Do not walk away, see thru your finder and you will produce fabolous pictures with a total different look. Thast pictures with the “boom boom” effect.This picture was made on my knees in the wet sand at the beach in Zingst and i enjoyed it.

Youth movement

While my stay in Zingst i took this snap in the morning. A class of Youngsters running on the beach, guarded and instructed by their teacher. Learning things about ocean, animals, insects, fish, whales, salt, beach etc. They had fun and jumped around like rubber balls :) This is an example and a proof for what a say and practise: Always have a camera with you. Even in the early morning like in this picture. Otherwise you will miss such opportunities

Enter the beach

Sunny day, just a bit of wind, Blue sky, wonderful water. No rain, no snow anymore. Not warm. Just about 12°C But the sun was just fantastic. So my girls decided for a walk to and along the beach of Zingst.

And trust me: I enjoyed is as well. Do it the same way. A beach, a coastline has so many attractive details for photographers. Go and shoot !

Wake up little Dragon

Thousands of of visitors, crowed on the frozen beach of Zingst, waiting for the grand opening of the “Umweltfotofestival” which is an spectacular laser and firework show. It has now about -20°C, we all wrapped in layers of anti-freeze materials. 3 pairs of gloves on the fingers, 3 Jackets, two pairs of shoes, lots of Wodka. And here it comes: The awake of the Dragon, heading for the sky…

The Dragon is alive

And the Dragon is alive and dancing in the night with fire and sparkles all over the dark sky. The crackling sound of its fire, the smell and the thunder is all over us in the dark. We stand still, deeply impressed, watching the dance of the Dragon. That was the grand opening of the “Umweltfotofestival in Zingst” The lightdance of elements. A fantastic laser and firework show in the night with about -20°C on the frozen beach. It was an outstanding experience.

Make a joke

So i walked at the beach, looking into the early morning sun, hearing the soft whisper of the seas, kissing the fine golden sand of the new reborn beach. My feet walking thru those small miniwaves, feeling the wonderful touch of freshness when i suddenly saw a big surprise.

WOW, never thought i could see one and suddenly it was here right in front of me: The little Sandybeach-Hedgehog. No doubt ! One of the rarest amphibian man can think of. Small little feet, a scrubby fur and little black eyes. What a sweet little thing. When it saw me it did what it usually did: 100% rigor. This is the reason why it is near to extinction: Easy prey for seagulls. So i took it and brought it back into the soft sea where it instantanoulsy dived away. But i had this picture, making my proud having seen a sensation. This is the story your present your audience while agonizing them with a beamer multimedia show. And you smile, telling the truth …..

Don´t believe me ?? You are right. Just a joke. But build it into your picture presentation and your audience will give you more than a smile as feedback. Now you are no longer that boring speaker but the one with a sense of humor to whom they listen, whose pictures are worth a closer look.
