He is concentrated, absolutely. Focussed on his little hammer ? On the nail, no and yes. He is concentrated on the ornament he is engraving. His arms, his hands melted together, guided by his eyes to achieve the wanted result. It was a joy watching him doing so. But: do not just shoot ! Ask for permission before you shoot. It is a simple question of respect. And if he say YES, work smooth from the distance and silent, just watching his work. If he say NO, accept it, give an excuse and go away ! Do not try to shoot hidden from the distance …

Trust is what we need and without trust we will never get excellent results in our work. The emotional layer is something which is build on trust as well. Whatever you do with your model, she needs to trust you and you have to trust her as well. So here is how to test it:

Dress her in that blue overall. Give a hammer right into her hands and say nothing. Just watch the scene, look what she is doing with that tool. Do not forget to take pictures. Well. You got no punch on your head ?? Thats a good beginning :) The base trust is established :) So we can move on to the next level…
