Do you really think only the young and only the slimmest girls can do a beautiful and stunning job in front of your camera ? Ever thought it could be a mistake ? Ask a mature Lady and you will be surprised. They can do that job and they will do it for sure. My expereinece is that the more skilled and more experienced Ladies are so wonderful in front of the cam. They do not produce any trouble, the do not hesitate in posing, they just know how they have impact to the scene. Yes, they need guidance for sure and yes they may have let me say more curvy bodies. But that produces a different kind of tension. A different kind of emotions, sensuality and erotic touch. It is way more realistic

And yes, they have imperfections. That is your task to minimize such. Set the light accordingly, minimize and even their natural skin imperfections, their little wrinkles. Even in pos production you have the chance to give back some years, to repaint her with a touch of new reached youth. Try it. She will like it and you as well. For sure. BTW: its easier to get them acting in front of your cam simply because of her life experience.

As a result she finally got her dress in a, lets say, sorted style. But it is still a very light costume and she is asking herself whether he will like ist ?? I believe, there is no man outside who does not. What di you think ?

Silence

Silence, that was on my mind after giving her a role and a fabrics to play with. Just standing around, the camera ready, watching was she will do and ready to snap the decisive moment. As i always say, let her believe you do nothing. That give her the feeling to be alone, do not talk with her, let her bring herself into position, just watch. And suddenly, she moved into a special way into a position you love. Do not say a word, just snap this moment with the cm and smile.

That was exactly what i did. And i did it again and again. Took a lot of wonderful pictures, SHE produced thru her elegante female moves, filling the given role. And me ? Just smiling, seeing how it works for me. So now its up to you. Do it too… First i thought its a good idea to leave something like a pillow as anchor point, but after a while i judged it a bad idea and left it out. There are enough anchor points for your eyes.

“That´s my hat and NO NO NO, you can’t have it!” That was the story and she played it very well. From serious to humor, she played very different role. But in the end, she always had her hand on the hat and not on body parts to hide.

Typical girl: Would rather go naked than hatless… We respect that.

When sport is over …

Doing outdoor activities is a real joy and fun as well. Yes, it is in some case exhausting too but we all know that any kind of activity is good for you well being, good for health, good for your shape, good for your body. Our model knows that as well and so she is doing outdoor actives as well. And she likes it more and more. Okay, i like that as well. Frehs air gives new ideas, helps creativity. And while being outdoor you can see so much details of mother nature which are often unseen, undetectable when driving by car or bus. And it is a joy watching the model coming back from her activities, still running, moving, exhausted, breathing, sweat all over the T-Shirt. Ups, which T-Shirt ? She just opened her Softshell Jacket showing nothing but her naked body underneath. I took the chance to speed test my cam… :)

After done so, i named it “When sport is over …” but she laughed at me, smiling, answered “No, its Dessert”.

As said before, do not ask too much. Your job is not asking questions but taking pictures. So, even when she is moving, arranging herself or her dress or whatsoever, shoot ! If some of the taken pictures do not match your taste or hers you can eliminate them later on before processing them. So have fun and do what you can do: Shoot the moment and enjoy it.

Reverie

I think i said it already. But its worth repeating it always and ever. When the shooting is ongoing, do not, really never, let your model unobserved. In former analog film times it could happen, that you missed essential and unrepeatable pictures because you were loading a new roll of film… this cannot happen in digital times any more. Except your storage card is way to small in capacity. So don´t be a Scrooge :)
On this photo you see what i mean. One scene was done, some seconds to relax, no attention, falling back into eternity look and WOOOOM, that´s the look. I was bold enough taking this picture, hiding it a while from her eyes as well. But when she saw it later on, she was excited and happy :)

No, no further discussion about Bokeh, why and what it is. But it is worth to look the effekt of Bokeh. How it can impact your picture using lenses with aperture f1.0, f1.2, f1.4 or similar. No further words from me at this point, just a picture to show. I am ready for your comments, answers and opinions regarding BOKEH….

Bear it

Monday morning. Sad day for most of us. And if it is rainy, this day becomes a really ugly day. So it is for him as well. Having Mrs. Robinson in his mind, had her right in front of him at the copy machine, in his dreams, her taste and her odor playing with his wits. Knowing she is out of reach. Boy she is playing games with you. Dont you see ?? So he walked down the street heading for the bus stop when he passed her house, head down, but a little view from the corner of his eye´s should be allowed….

Knock down. It hits him like a lightning strike. She was right behind her window, the wet window, raindrops running down the glass and she, just behind the glass looking at him. With a sweet smile in her smile. Oh no…! His desire exploded again and he stood still for several second, watching her in her full beauty when she suddenly vanished. Just a dream, a wish to come true ?? He was 100% dazzled when he reached the bus station, nearly lost control. Sitting in the bus having her image in his mind.

What he did not know: She laughed out loud when she she saw this poor guy standing in the rain looking at her. And she thought again: “You have to stand this my dear and even more to come ! No man is allowed to enter my home without permission, snapping pictures without punishment!”

Olympus E-P3, Summilux 25 mm, f2.0, ISO200, 1/100 second, one hot shoe flash, bounced left behind me over my shoulder into the white wall. As second layer: a wetlook glass from the bathroom from the shower cabin, no flash used here. Both pictures layered together with 60% opacity. Brought her back to visibility with a layer mask thru a soft brush with 45% opacity, Simple work. And again simple techniques: A bit compostion of two pictures, a little story to grab attention and the use of the well established emotional layer ! Trust and respect for the model and a lot of fun while working together.

Invisible

It happens nearly all the time, that things are done invisible to others. Small acts, gestures, movements not recognized. It is worth looking close. Look ! Look what your model is doing while not being photographed. See all the funny things she is doing while not in your focus, unobserved. Try to catch such moments of unbelievable beauty.

You will never regret. And again it is an easy setup for this picture. Olympus E-5, ISO100, f4.5, 1/30 second to let the roomlight register, one single hotshoe flash bounced to my left into one white reflector a bit behind her.
