While testing an older type lens on Bokeh i asked her to wear those “flower-crown” as well. Just to spice it up a bit. Look what she did. And i had the idea to produce some really flower powered new pictures derived from Mother Nature idea. Easy to produce and colorful

Perhaps you like this one a bit more ?? I don’t know. Enjoy it

Snail

Back home from a trip full of impressions and tons of new pictures. Exhausted, tired. Taking the last steps from the car into the house. The camera bag over the shoulder. Happy to be home again. But suddenly a colored spot. Small and to my right. I decided to stop and to look a bit closer. A snail, a very small one. About 1.5 cm long slides beside my way. Okay, i think, here comes the macro. Just threw the M.Zuiko 60 onto my E-M1 and snapped the pictures right away. Exhausted or not…

Arg, it should be a focus stack but that damned snail is moving, slow but fast enough to prevent a stack. I tried different apertures and their effects on sharpness and bokeh. Well here you see the little guy with f2.8 and a wonderful creamy bokeh

Dark rose

Just two roses, placed on the desk ?? No ! I took the picture in the garden while searching little creatures like spider, bugs etc. Long time forgotten to work on this but while creating d´the “Dark Series” it came avon to my mind and i did a b&w conversion to achieve the dark look here as well. Looks great in large print.

Dandelions flight

It is their time now. You can see them everywhere coming thru the grass. White globes sitting an long green shafts. And when it is time and a bit of helping wind is around you can see their seeds flying thru the air. That is a wonderful moment, enchanted. Watch them landing, see them them in the early morning covered and kissed by the morning dew.

Yeah, i found it while walking thru the wet grass, to be honest, i found it while walking the dog thru the wet grass. And i decided to jump back into the house, taking the OMD with the fabulous 60mm macro and a tripod. The dog looked a bitt irritated, inspected the tripod and judged it friendly stuff. I mounted the cam overhead and took this little mushroom home as RAW. So, look down to your feet. There are a lot of things to capture, even when it rains …

After the rain everything in Mother Natures garden look even more beautiful. Not only wet, but brighter, more colorful. The air is clear, no dust, no fog, just clear view. So take your cam, mount you macro and look the flowers… like i did !

Mother Nature is still by far the best architect, the best artist, the best visagist, the best stylist. Go down the streets and have a look to the left and to the right. Look for rotten flowers, dead or dying blooms and take shots of them in their process of dying, going to recover in next spring…
