Dark rose

Just two roses, placed on the desk ?? No ! I took the picture in the garden while searching little creatures like spider, bugs etc. Long time forgotten to work on this but while creating d´the “Dark Series” it came avon to my mind and i did a b&w conversion to achieve the dark look here as well. Looks great in large print.

Another example from the ongoing series “The girl from Udaipur” This time in massive black and white. Bold contrast, diffused structures and details while shooting thru glass and a glasspattern as overlay to get a scratched effect to the picture. Yes, it is hard to do such to a picture so wonderful sharp and rich in details but this is wanted to get a painterly effect.

It is not only the Boss of Mrs. Robinson loves such shot. We too ! It is the typical Boys view ! We love such things a lot and YES we enjoy such views much because we are man !

But this shot is a sample for “Think in series!” It was done in 2 or 3 second with the same settings and we had 15 pictures of this scene. All with different facial expresion. Slightly different poses, different smiles. SO we have hard work to choose one or two from them. But the key is: Do such series !! You will have really fun afterwards in post production to choose, to select the pictures she likes too !!

“Hey, i can do this little cut. You do not need to be an expert. It is easy for me to do such little cut. Believe me. Ah, i own a sharp knife. Come on trust me.”

Trust me !! That is the keyword to NOT trust her ! But he can not hear me. So he said: “Okay Baby, that is really just a minor thing. Come on. But please clean the knife before you cut”. She did so and moved on.

“Did it hurt you, you sweet little thing ? Oh, its bleeeding a bit. But wait it needs a little deeper cut” His eyes wide open she did her cutting, grinning and 100% concentrated on cutting. And she put more strength into her cutting … deeper and deeper …

“Oh, now it is off “, she said, satisfied with her job she looked into his eyes. “Baby, why can´t you cut the Steak the normal way ?” he asked her. She smiled …

Okay, this is again a series. But this time it shows the story and is spiced up a bit with the story. Watch the style of the three pictures, the light, the way of post processing. It is all ONE style. Do so as well and you are among the picture storyteller :) You can do this with a P&S cam as well.

All pictures done with: Olympus E-5, ISO400, Zuiko 12-60, f5, one single hotshoe flash bounced to my left into a white wall. No tricks, not magic, just DO !

She knows

She reads the cards and she reads your mind. You can not hide a thing, not a thought, not an idea. She knows it in the moment you think it.

You have to learn to deal with that, to use it. Without fear. No prejudices please. Be part of the future and see what will happen. She thinks on your future she already had seen, whether it is good for you to know or not.

She is used to keep secrets as well. It is part of her special capabillity. And she hides and protect herself , her own clean aura.

And from time to time she even gives you YOUR scorecard of life directly into your hands. Without hesitation but with a sweet smile and she knows you can not live with that but you have to accept and she will be with you from now on.

So what did i try to tell YOU ?? To book a Tarot card reader ?? Why not, do so and make a special experience. Think in series. Do not make only one picture of a scene but try to show a complete scene in a serie. That means you have to keep an eye on your post processing. All pictures should have a similar appearance. And yes, you need a story. But you know this already from earlier post. Your storyboard can be made visible. Do so.

Again easy setup. Olympus E-5, Zuiko 12-60SWD, ISO640, f3.2, 1/125 second and one single hot shoe flash bounced left behind me into the white wall. Easy as i said.
