Coco, our black princess, our little chinese crested. So black her skin, so dark her little hair but always happy, friendly and ready for excitement. Optimism. On the stairs at the Hotel Classic in Florence. That’s just their thing. All day and half the night just pure adventure. People, sounds, smells, dogs, bulls, horses, pizza and tons of hedges, bushes and shrubs. And I’m glad that at least one woman wants to look no bags and shoes or fashion

Dresden

It is worth a travel. Go and see Dresden in these days. It is full of wonderful and surprising buildings. Full of people, full of fairies. Stollen and Glühwein and if you like a Bratwurst as well :) And please stay until the night crawls in. You can see the famous church illuminated like this.

Travel surprise

When i traveled to Nebulus 3 last week, i decided to take the express shuttel “Hurrican” to reach the Warp-drive equipped starship which normally docked near Saturn. As you know, it is not allowed to initiate warp engines near planet Earth. Thanx to the environmentalists …. While hopping with the Hurrican thru space, quite boring, i read several magazines when we finally reached Saturn and the sweet robotervoice announced our soon arrival. I took the chance to catch the last picture from Saturn. So i took out me wondercam and looked thru the window…. uhhhhhhhh what a surprise. An angel right in front of me, gliding on her golden wings thru the stars, like the Silver Surfer ….. and i looked into her face and she looked at me and i was lost in her deep brown eyes … just a second so i thought. When i came back to reality, 3 hours were thru and i missed my starship to Nebulus 3. My anger went away as i read in the News that he starship to Nebulus 3 had an severe accident: A massive blast of sunwind hit the ship and all electricity failed. Some guest were injured as well and the ship lost its engine power. It was towed back into the docks for repair. I was so lucky … my guardian angel saved me from that situation !

The Pen

Some of you asked me, whether i always use my Olympus E-5 with all its gears even when i am travelling. First, it is a difficult to answer question. It depends would be the correct answer. 2-3 years back in time the answer would have been 100% YES. But now…

The more i travel the more i wish to travel light. A Leica M camera would be a wonderful solution wit 3 lenses: 24 mm, 50 mm and 90 mm. A perfect travel set and wonderful for portrait shooting as well. Ever saw the Leica pricelist ?? So here is my solution:

It is a Olympus E-P3 with exactly the travel set as said above. 12 mm, 25 mm, 45 mm. Ups you say, it is always half the focal length. Yes, correct. The Olympus System is based on a chip which has, compared to a full frame camera, a cropfactor of 2. So easy. And above shown primes are FAAAAAAST. F1.4 and F2…..

The complet set fits beautifully into the small und stealthy ThinkTank Restrospective 5. A big flash gun, batteries, SD cards etc as well. And it is still light in weight.

What tourists do …

Running around, looking here and there, sneaking thru open doors, trying to find something of interest. They are always on the search for the special photo and they forget that they are a wonderful subject themselves. A great theme for the Anti-Tourist, watching other tourists and catching the decisive moments, getting a speaking picture full of emotions, with a story, speaking to the observer. Hope you like this two examples.

And now you should go for it !
