“More left, no better right, bend a bit, stretch more, take the hand to the left, bow, smile, no not such ….”, boy. Posing is a hard job and i found it is not possible or hard to realize by words. It is better to act as her mirror and to show how she has to pose, what to show. It is way faster and easy and offers a lot of fun too. Suddenly you entertain your model :) Not a bad idea at all! But shown facial expressions may result in surprising results and that means you have to be alerted, have your finger ready to push the button on you cam.

I did it exactly that way and you see what i got. Just a fraction of a second later, the expression was gone, the scene lost and she laughed out loud… so what… i had my picture and we had fun.

A new lens in the bag. 17 mm f1.8 for Olympus mFT system. That means 34 mm f1.8 in 24×36 mm sensor size….. sounds good. And YES it is more than good. It is excellent. I tried it in a portrait shooting session. Oh, i know, wide angle lenses should not be used in portrait situations but i thought its worth a try. I was surprised from the results. Superb speed, excellent resolution and sharpness. Way too sharp for portraits. I decided to work it out in CSx and soften it a bit, convert it even into a strong B&W pictures. And here it is:

Running wild …

Running wild, do what you want… and she did ! One main part in this picture is her hair, running wild, turning around like crazy, hiding the view from other bodyparts, building tension, drama and dynamic. You just have to stand and wait for the best moment to shoot or, if you like, machine gunning !! You will see a lot of keepers to choose from.
